Zalgiris, is one of the oldest teams in the Euroleague. Zalgiris holds one of the Euroleague A Licenses, which provides them a guaranteed place in the regular-season phase of the EuroLeague. Last year the team of the head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, made it to the Final Four, for the first time since 1999. Brandon Davies, Aaron White and Artyras Milaknis are only few of the players who will lead the effort for another Final Four for the upcoming Euroleague. On the other hand, Baskonia is one of the most important Spanish teams in the competition. Baskonia has a regular present in the EuroLeague since the season 2000–01. The team of the head coach Pedro Martinez has been runners-up of the EuroLeague twice, in 2001 and 2005 and their last Final FOur was in the season 2015-16.
